Borja Suárez Corujo

Since June 2018 he has been General Director of Social Security Management, first in the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration, and then in the current Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.

Born in 1973, he holds a PhD in Law and a degree in Law and Political Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid, where he has developed his teaching and research activity as Full Professor of Labour Law and Social Security.

He is the author of more than a hundred publications on labor and social security, with particular attention to the public pension system and the distribution of competences between the State and the Autonomous Communities in matters of social protection, as main lines of research. In this sense, the monographs "The public pension system: crisis, reform and sustainability", "The right to the revaluation of pensions", "The reform of pension systems in Europe", and "Social protection in the State of the Autonomies" stand out.

He is a member of the European Institute of Social Security and has been a visiting professor at the University of Louvain (KU Leuven).
