Social Security membership data remains up for another month. Discounting seasonality and calendar effect, the membership figure stands at 22,318,994 employed in the first half of August, which means an increase of 668,503 affiliates in the last 12 months (+3.09%). It thus reaches the highest level of the seasonally adjusted series.

The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, stressed that “the improvement of the quality of employment and the sustained growth of the labor market in Spain continue to be consolidated thanks to labor reform: 452,947 jobs have been created from the end of 2025 until the first half of August.”
